God always adds more

God always adds more pixGod always adds more

Text: 2 Corinthians 9: 8: And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

We have a powerful God who does great things and is capable of performing wonders in our lives. He can make His grace available for us and bless us above all expectations. God is able to do more than we ask and think. For his power to work, we have to be open to the move of God. As it is said in popular language, we have to “give the wheel” of our life to the Lord.

God is the one who knows what is best for our lives. He is the reason and the purpose of our living, we are his instruments. And the reality is that there is nothing better for an instrument than to be played by a famous instrumentalist. Alone we are not capable of doing great things, and we will remain below what we could become.

But if we put ourselves before God, we open up the possibility that he stretches us to the maximum, because whoever rules the universe is able to make us grow much more in grace and good works. Let God lead your life. Open space in your decisions and expectations so that God can move. He is mighty in making all grace abound to you!

Growing in grace

  • Meditate on the Word of God; We feed our faith when we read and listen to the Word.
  • Put into practice what you read and meditate. The Gospel is practical, and the fruit of good works only comes when we sow it.
  • Let the Lord teach you. Have a broken heart and ready to learn. He gives us challenges and blessings so that we grow in faith. We must act as learning servants and not as teachers or “clients of God.”

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, you know what is best for my life. Your plans are bigger than mine. Guide me! Lead me in a way that can bear good fruit and bless those around me. I want to bear fruit, and I want to grow in grace. Help me, dear Lord amen.
